My Top Travel Destinations of 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the places I was lucky enough to explore this year. While I didn’t travel as much as I originally planned, one perfectly timed cruise made the top travel destinations of 2025 especially memorable. A few standout trips helped round out the year.
From colorful Caribbean islands to wine country closer to home, these are my top travel destinations of 2025—the places that stood out most, left a lasting impression, and reminded me why I love to travel. Here’s my personal countdown, ranked from Aruba to my favorite stop of the year.

7. Aruba
To start, Aruba delivered exactly what you hope for in a Caribbean getaway. Think crystal-clear water, steady sunshine, and an easygoing island vibe. Even with a shorter visit, it was the perfect way to ease into vacation mode and soak up that laid-back energy Aruba does so well.
6. St. Kitts
In contrast, St. Kitts was one of the quieter stops of the trip, and that’s what made it so appealing. Lush landscapes and scenic views set the tone. The slower pace made it feel more relaxed than some of the busier islands. It’s the kind of destination that makes you want to come back and explore more deeply.
5. Woodinville, Washington
Meanwhile, not all great travel requires a plane ticket across the ocean. Woodinville continues to be one of my favorite wine-focused escapes, offering incredible tasting rooms, approachable hospitality, and a pace that encourages you to slow down and savor the experience.
If you’re planning a similar trip, I’ve shared more details in my post on a perfect wine tasting weekend in Woodinville, which breaks down where to sip and what to prioritize.

4. St. Lucia
Without a doubt, St. Lucia is dramatic in all the right ways. Between the iconic Pitons and the lush, tropical scenery, this stop felt truly special from the moment we arrived. It’s a destination that feels elevated, romantic, and unforgettable—one that easily earns its place near the top of this list.
3. Curaçao
For example, Curaçao quickly became a favorite thanks to its vibrant personality and colorful streets. Willemstad’s bright buildings, European-Caribbean blend, and walkable layout make it a joy to explore. It felt different from anywhere else we visited—and that uniqueness made it stand out.

2. San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Juan is a destination that never disappoints. From the charm of Old San Juan to the food, history, and energy of the city, it’s a place that feels alive and layered. Every visit reminds me why Puerto Rico holds such a special place in my heart—and why San Juan is always worth returning to.
1. Isla Mujeres, Mexico
Ultimately, Isla Mujeres takes the top spot as my favorite destination of the year. There’s a calm, effortless magic to this island—from the clear water and beautiful beaches to the slower pace that encourages you to truly unplug. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
I’ve shared a deeper look at this trip in my full Isla Mujeres travel guide, including where to stay, what to do, and why it’s a destination I’ll keep going back to.
Looking Ahead
Overall, 2025 may not have been packed with nonstop travel, but it proved that meaningful trips don’t have to be constant to be impactful. Each of these top travel destinations of 2025 brought something different—whether it was relaxation, inspiration, great wine, or a reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.
And the travel bug is already gearing up for what’s next. I’ve got a cruise planned to the Mexican Riviera along the West Coast, plus an upcoming trip to Greece—two very different adventures that I’m already counting down to.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep adding new stamps to my Pouring Passport. If you’re planning future trips, you can explore more of my recent adventures in the Travel section of the blog.
Cheers to wherever the journey leads next.
